OSHA Mandated Employer Testing Program

On September 9, President Biden announced several initiatives regarding COVID-19 vaccine requirements for U.S. employers. The President announced that the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is developing an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to ensure that their workforce is fully vaccinated or to require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result at least weekly before coming to work.

The idea to Vaccinate has become more than a personal decision in today’s workplace.  Now, employers have the additional burden of tracking not only the vaccination status of its employees, but ongoing testing for those who choose not to.  Worse yet, employers are faced with choosing between a much less reliable but cheaper “rapid” test solution, or stay with the “Gold Standard” PCR testing that provides the highest accuracy but includes a 24hr or more turnaround time by most providers.

The COVID Consortium through its High Complexity CLIA/CAP/COLA accredited laboratory Alpha Genomix, has provided high throughput, EUA approved RT-PCR Covid-19 testing since the early days of the pandemic, with result turn around time averaging under 8hrs.  Now, in response to the President’s and OSHA’s mandate, we are introducing Flex-Test, a subscription model RT-PCR testing platform designed to eliminate employers from sacrificing accuracy for cost as our model brings testing as low as $29.00 per test for RT-PCR.  With industry leading turn around time in under 8 hours, Flex-Test allows employers to maintain compliance, in a cost-effective manner equal to any rapid testing solution in the market.  Here’s how it works:
  1. We determine the number of employees and frequency of testing per week.

  2. We ship testing kits including return labels to either you the employer or directly to your employees. All kits are pre-labeled and bar coded, so there is no form or label to fill out.

  3. We create access for results in our HIPAA compliant portal for your employees and your designated company rep.

  4. Your employees take our saliva-based test, seal and return with the return packaging for each day testing is required.

  5. We receive the specimen at the lab, process and result in under 12 hours.*

  6. Once processed, the results are ready in the portal and our system notifies you and your employee.

  7. We save all test results by location and employee to insure OSHA compliance.

Our subscription model is month to month which means no long term contracts with guaranteed testing coverage for as long as your company subscribes.
